How to narrow it down

1. Pick a shape. Barrels heat fast and cost less. Cabins and cubes give headroom and room to lie down. See barrel vs cabin.
2. Check your panel. A 30 amp model is much easier to add than a 45 or 50 amp one. See breaker and wire size.
3. Decide on origin. If US origin matters to you, filter on the spec sheet column above, not the brand name.

Worked example

A family of four in Portland with a 200 amp panel and room on it for a 30 amp double-pole breaker is choosing between the Pinnacle and the Seneca. The Pinnacle fits the 30 amp budget with a 6 kW heater. The Seneca seats six but steps up to 40 or 45 amps. Unless guests are frequent, the Pinnacle is the simpler build.

Frequently asked questions

Where are Almost Heaven saunas made?

It depends on the model. Almost Heaven spec sheets list most barrels, cubes and many indoor models with a country of origin of USA, the Allegheny and Appalachia cabins as Estonia, and the Harvia Collection models such as the Kuuma, Takoa, Magnus and Evander as Romania. Check the spec sheet of the exact model you want.

What heater comes with an Almost Heaven sauna?

Traditional models ship with an electric heater sized to the room. Two to four person barrels and small indoor rooms list 6 kW on a 30 amp 240V circuit, while six person rooms list 8 or 9 kW on 40 or 45 amps. Some models offer a wood-burning option instead. Each also needs a 15 amp lighting circuit.

Which Almost Heaven sauna is the best value?

The Salem 2 person barrel has the lowest starting price in the line we carry, from $4,485 at the maker when checked Oct 23, 2026. The Pinnacle 4 person barrel, from $6,060, adds two seats on the same 6 kW, 30 amp heater spec, which makes it the value pick for most families.

Are Almost Heaven reviews good?

We do not publish star ratings we cannot source, and we do not write reviews of saunas we have not owned. What we can compare is the published spec sheet: heater, circuit, size, wood and origin. Read verified buyer reviews on the maker and large retailers, and look for comments on assembly and band tightening.

What is the difference between the Harvia Collection and the regular line?

The Harvia Collection barrels and cabins, such as the Kuuma and Magnus, are larger, premium models listed as made in Romania, with starting prices from about $14,132 to $17,653 at the maker. The core USA-origin barrels like the Pinnacle and Seneca start between $4,485 and $8,844.

Do Almost Heaven infrared saunas need 240V?

The Hinton and Laurel infrared models are listed without the 240V heater requirement of the traditional rooms. Check the manual for the exact circuit before you buy, because infrared models vary by panel count and wattage. Our infrared vs traditional guide explains the trade-offs.
