What to consider
Chiller capacity
A chiller sets how cold the water gets and how fast it recovers. Warm climates and outdoor tubs need more capacity.
Filtration and sanitation
Look for filtration plus a sanitation method such as ozone or UV to keep water clean between changes.
Insulation and cover
An insulated shell and a fitted cover reduce running costs and keep debris out.

Common questions
How cold should a cold plunge be?
Many people use water between about 39 and 59°F. Start warmer and shorter, and talk with your doctor if you have a heart condition or other health concerns.
Can I put a cold plunge outside?
Many models are rated for outdoor use. Check the operating temperature range of the chiller and plan for shade, power and drainage.
How often do I change the water?
It depends on filtration, sanitation and use. Follow the maker's guidance; well filtered systems often go several months.
