Power
120 V, 7 A max draw, GFCI outlet (maker)
Base
A level, solid base that can carry the weight (200 lb (maker)): a concrete pad, pavers, or a framed deck checked for the load.
Permits
Electrical work usually needs a permit, and some cities regulate backyard structures. Check with yours first.
Install notes
These tubs plug into a standard 120 volt GFCI protected outlet. Use a grounded outdoor rated outlet when the tub sits outside, and keep the cord off wet ground.
A filled tub is heavy. Set it on a level slab, pavers or a deck that can carry the full water weight; our deck load guide shows how to estimate it.
Not included. Plan for these.
  • Electrical work and permit
  • Foundation or base
  • Assembly labor, unless the maker offers it

About this cold plunge

The OG is ReGen Total Wellness's original lay-down plunge tub, hand-built in Arizona. It starts at $4,990 at the maker for the standard tub with a 1/4 HP chiller and runs to $6,240 for the X-Large with a 1/2 HP chiller, before extended warranty options.

It plugs into a 120 volt GFCI outlet, needs no special plumbing, and comes with a lockable insulated cover. The 1/2 HP chiller takes water down to 36 degrees; ReGen lists that chiller as Japanese built.
