Electric sauna heaters run on a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician. Size the breaker and wire from the heater manual; they rise with kW.

Outdoor rooms need a level, well drained base such as a concrete pad, compacted gravel with pavers, or a deck built for the load. Many cities treat an outdoor sauna as an accessory structure and a hardwired heater as an electrical permit.

What circuit does it need?

The base 6 kW Harvia KIP heater calls for a 30 amp, 240V circuit per the maker's heater table. Bigger heater upgrades need more. Have a licensed electrician size the breaker and wire.

Can I put a traditional sauna in a basement?

Yes, if the floor is level and can get wet, there is a 240V circuit for the heater, and the room has the intake and exhaust venting the maker specifies.

Can I order it through Brevley & Sons?
