Install notes
Set wood-burning fire pits on a noncombustible surface such as pavers, gravel, stone or concrete, and keep the distance from the house, fences and overhangs that your local fire code requires. Many cities ask for 10 to 25 feet.
Check burn bans before you light. Many western states and counties restrict open wood fires in dry months; our guides list current rules.

About this fire pit

The Original is the standard Insane Fire Pit, a flat-packed 304 stainless steel fire pit from Vermont with five upper flame panels that wrap from the bottom to the top. It sells for $1,249 with free shipping at the maker.

You can swap one flame panel for a custom name panel for $45, a popular choice for a family, a camp or a lake house, and add a cinch-cord weather cover for $69. Because the pit bolts together with stainless hardware, panels can be changed later.

Questions people ask before buying

How hard is assembly?

The pit ships flat-packed and the maker says it assembles in about an hour with stainless bolts and nuts. The panels are heavy, have sharp edges and carry protective film, so read the instructions first.

Where is it made?

Insane Fire Pits says its pits are Vermont made from 304 stainless steel. We show the maker's words and use no badge.

Can it go on a wood or composite deck?

Not directly. Wood fires need a noncombustible base, so most people set them on pavers, gravel or concrete. Ask the maker before using any heat shield on a deck.

Can I order it through Brevley & Sons?

Not directly yet. Use the maker link for current pricing and lead time, or ask us about sizing, power and placement.

Who do I order from, and who handles warranty?

You order directly from Insane Fire Pits, and warranty claims go to Insane Fire Pits. We help you plan before you order and are here if questions come up after.
